Founded by a team of experienced professionals with extensive knowledge of events and gardening, The All New Derby Garden Show promises to be a fantastic event for both exhibitors and visitors.

John Cox and Shaun McClune grew their small seed of an idea into this extensive outdoor event with the support of experienced event organiser Malcolm Hall.

After exhibiting at shows for over 20 years with his outdoor clothing company, John Cox was looking for a new challenge following the recent sale of his business. With an insiders knowledge of the challenges faced by traders at outdoor events, John brings with him an intimate understanding of what makes a successful event from the exhibitors’ perspective. He deals with the practical elements of organising the event from his base in the West Midlands.

When discussing the idea of a new garden event in the Midlands, partner Shaun McClune suggested Locko Park as an ideal venue. Shaun spent seven years selling his innovative Garden Pot Hanger at shows around the country and is also a keen gardener. With a background in business, which includes spells as a director of companies in the legal and accountancy sectors, Shaun is based near Nottingham and is predominantly responsible for the sales and marketing of the Derby Garden Show.

Malcolm Hall is a veteran of country events, having organised the hugely successful Fenland Country Fair for nearly 30 years, and more recently launching the Suffolk Game and Country Fair which has already become hugely popular with visitors from across East Anglia. Highly respected by traders and visitors alike for his welcoming, well-organised events, Malcolm is based in Norfolk.
